Melody Westen

Melody Westen serves as the Executive Director of Akashinga, an organization focused on creating sustainable ecosystems that benefit nature, wildlife, and communities, since March 2022. Prior to this role, Melody Westen held senior positions at Back on My Feet, including Senior Vice President of Development & Marketing, where significant achievements included supporting over 15,000 individuals facing homelessness and engaging more than 150,000 volunteers. Additional experience includes roles at the International Rescue Committee as Regional VP of Development and Associate Director of Strategic Development, contributing to various humanitarian and community support programs. Previous positions also include Associate Director of Corporate Giving at the Hearing Health Foundation, Director of Events at Aish HaTorah, Executive Assistant/Publicist at Lawlor Media Group, Client Relations & Marketing at Faulkner Brand Inc, and Development Coordinator at the Vancouver Hillel Foundation. Melody Westen earned a degree from the University at Buffalo between 1999 and 2003.
