Hamza Bensouda

Hamza Bensouda currently serves as the Deputy General Director of the Afriquia Oil subsidiary at Akwa Group, a position held since October 2024. Prior to this role, Hamza held multiple positions at AFRIQUIA SMDC from September 2017 to November 2024, including Portfolio Manager and Project Manager. Earlier experiences include an internship at Inter Tridim in 2017 focused on the study and sizing of a monumental door mechanism for the Grand Theater of Casablanca, an internship at Afriquia Gaz involved in the design of a production line’s gas supply system, and a foundational internship at Établissement OUEDRHIRI in industrial tools distribution where introductory welding skills were acquired. Hamza is pursuing an Executive MBA at École des Ponts Business School since March 2023, having previously earned an education in engineering at Mohammadia School of Engineers from 2014 to 2017, following preparatory classes in theoretical physics and mathematics at Lycée Moulay Driss from 2011 to 2014.
