Barbara McCarthy

Barbara McCarthy is an experienced opinion columnist for the Irish Independent since October 2003 and a freelance contributor for Al Jazeera Media Network since May 2015, serving as a Dublin-based correspondent and photographer. Additionally, McCarthy operates as a freelance journalist and has contributed to numerous reputable publications, including The Sunday Independent, The Irish Times, and The Times. McCarthy has also managed projects in environmental regeneration and held positions in academia as a visiting lecturer.
