Stephan Labonte has a diverse background with significant experience in the mining and environmental sectors. Since December 2006, Stephan has served as a Senior Supervisor at Alamos Gold Inc. while concurrently working as a Miner at Richmont Mines Inc., where progression to underground supervisor occurred in 2011 after five years as part of the jack leg sill and bolting crew. Prior experience includes working as a Line Runner at Wilderness, utilizing GIS technology to flag boundaries for logging companies, and serving as an Aquatic Science Technician at Fisheries and Oceans Canada, where larval sea lamprey populations were surveyed. Stephan began a career in the military as an Infantry Soldier with the PPCLI Association from July 2000 to July 2003. Educationally, Stephan holds a degree in Fish and Wildlife Technician from Sault College, earned between 2003 and 2005.
