Melanie Hoffman

Melanie Hoffman is an experienced leader in climate change advocacy and education, currently serving as Associate Director at Alberta Environmental Network since September 2022, where key responsibilities include data management, strategic direction, and volunteer coordination for Deep Engagement Canvassing. As the Founder and Lead Organizer of Drawdown Alberta since September 2020, Melanie has successfully developed a sustainability movement involving diverse stakeholders and fostering relationships with Indigenous communities. Additionally, Melanie operates HoffFull Solutions, focusing on science communication and collaboration for climate solutions in education. Melanie's academic background includes a Ph.D. in Inorganic Nanomaterials from the University of Alberta and teaching positions at various institutions, recognized for excellence in teaching.
