Previously, Hugo held the position of Director of Corporate Social Performance at Lundin Mining Corporation, where responsibilities included leading the enhancement of global social performance and human rights functions and contributing to the company's sustainability strategy alongside the executive team. With a background in environmental, health, safety, and social consulting at ERM, Hugo has extensive experience in achieving sustainable outcomes across various industries. Earlier roles included significant positions at planningAlliance, Free The Children, and the Insurance Bureau of Canada, along with educational credentials that include a Master's degree in Urban Planning from the University of Toronto, a Master's in Economics from York University, and a Graduate Diploma in Multilateral Cooperation for Human Development from Universidad Internacional de Andalucía.
