Asuka A.

Asuka A. currently serves as the Group Head of ESG at SYNLAB International since January 2023. Prior to this role, Asuka held the position of Senior Sustainability Manager at Allianz from January 2013 to December 2022 and founded an online sustainable toy shop that operated from December 2017 until its closure in March 2022. Asuka has also contributed to academia as an adjunct faculty member and lecturer at Hochschule Fresenius and Rhine-Waal University, teaching courses on business ethics, sustainable development, and globalization. Asuka's earlier research experiences include a Ph.D. researcher role at the Technical University of Munich, focusing on global environmental policy and biodiversity, and a trainee position at the Global Reporting Initiative. Asuka holds a Doctorate in Environmental Governance and Policy from the Technical University of Munich, alongside a Master's degree in Environmental Sciences from Utrecht University and a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Communication Studies from Franklin University Switzerland.
