Darren Levstek is an accomplished academic and curator with extensive experience in the field of art history and museum practices. Since 2017, Darren has served as an Associate Professor at Algonquin College of Applied Arts and Technology. In addition, Darren has been the Curator of Collections for the City of Ottawa since May 2015. Previously, Darren held curatorial positions at Minden Hills Museum & Heritage Village and Nature's Place, and the Royal Ontario Museum, where responsibilities included preparation, mount making, and art historical research. Other notable roles include Assistant to the Collection Manager and Curatorial Assistant at Haley Sharpe Design and the Royal Ontario Museum, as well as Acquisitions Researcher at the Art Gallery of Ontario. Darren obtained a BA (Advanced Honours) in Art History and Renaissance Studies from the University of Toronto, supplemented by studies at Università di Siena and Niagara College.
