Michael Hawrylycz

Michael Hawrylycz is an accomplished investigator at the Allen Institute for Brain Science, where responsibilities include leading data science, modeling, analysis, and annotation efforts since April 2011. An affiliate professor in Genome Sciences at the University of Washington since May 2011, Michael brings extensive experience from various prestigious positions, including roles as a director of informatics at the Allen Institute and as director of computational biology at Regulome Corp. Notable contributions include being an initial member of the Allen Institute and leading the creation of the Allen Brain Atlas. Michael's academic foundation includes a PhD in Applied Mathematics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, supplemented by a master's degree from Wesleyan University and a bachelor's degree from Colby College.
