Michael Vogel

Michael Vogel is an experienced professional in energy trading and finance, currently serving as the Head of Derivatives and Flow Trading at Alpiq since August 2019, where efforts focus on structured energy management and building client relationships across Europe. Prior to this role, Michael held positions at AEW Energie AG, including Senior Structured Product Trader and Senior Portfolio Manager for Nordic Markets, as well as the Executive & Assistant to the CEO. Earlier experience includes working as a Structured Products Trader at Mercuria Energy Trading S.A. and as Vice President and Associate at J.P. Morgan, along with an analyst position at Lehman Brothers. Michael's academic background includes a Master of Arts in Accounting and Finance from the University of St.Gallen, a Certificate of Advanced Study in Renewable Energy from HSR Hochschule für Technik Rapperswil, and an MBA from Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México through a student exchange program.
