Colin Murphy

Colin Murphy is a Chartered Engineer (CEng), a member of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (MIMechE), and an associate member of the Institution of Civil Engineers (AMICE) with extensive experience in the engineering field. Currently serving as the Head of Technical Authorities at Altrad UK & Ireland since April 2018, Colin leads a team focusing on innovation, technical digitalization, and continuous safety improvement while promoting Altrad's technical capabilities to clients. Prior to this role, Colin held various positions at Cape plc from November 2005, including Technical Authority Scaffolding, Principal Design Engineer, and Senior Design Engineer, responsible for designing industrial scaffolding and temporary works primarily in the petrochemical and energy sectors. Colin holds a BEng (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering from Edinburgh Napier University, postgraduate qualifications in Engineering and Structural Integrity from The Open University.
