Melanie Holloway

Melanie Holloway is an accomplished legal professional with extensive experience in intellectual property, technology, and data privacy. Currently serving as Assistant General Counsel and previously as Senior Counsel at Altria since April 2018, Melanie has a strong legal background from McGuireWoods as a Technology, IP, and Data Privacy Attorney from January 2013 to March 2018. Additionally, Melanie has held academic positions, including Visiting Assistant Professor of Law and Director of Lawyering Skills IV at the University of Richmond School of Law from August 2009 to December 2012. Melanie has also contributed to the legal community as a Board Member of the Virginia State Bar IP Section and held leadership roles at the University of Richmond School of Law's Intellectual Property Institute. Melanie's legal career commenced as an Associate in Intellectual Property at McGuireWoods LLP from December 2000 to July 2007 following graduation from the University of Richmond School of Law.
