SUMMARY:

Altus specializes in the design and production of high-quality fixed and mobile workstations, IOT-enabled workstation fleet management solutions and OEM engineering design and production. The Altus Director of Marketing is a leadership position requiring a marketing generalist set of skills and the ability to quickly pivot to address issues as they arise. As a commercial team serving a broad set of personas and industry verticals, the Altus marketing and sales teams are entirely synergistic in our “customer first” approach, with marketing establishing the strategy upon which sales executes. The successful Director of Marketing candidate will draw from their broad experience of employing marketing tools and techniques to stimulate demand of Altus’s portfolio products and services, establishing metrics to track and report success, and effectively adjusting to market, customer and internal factors to help drive sustainable revenue growth.  As in many small to mid-sized businesses, the Altus Director of Marketing is a player coach, rolling up their sleeves daily to “do” as much as delegate. ESSENTIAL DUTIES: 

  • Lead annual commercial marketing and Go-To-Market (GTM) strategy development and execution by the Altus marketing and sales teams.
  • Perform market, customer and competitive assessment to inform new product development and portfolio improvements.
  • Development and management of the Altus marketing expense budget.
  • Development and execution of Altus new products and services launch plans.
  • Support of sales for key customer-related projects.
  • Project management of new, custom and improved product initiatives.
  • Support of the Altus OEM engineering design and production strategy, and its project management process.
  • Development and execution of Altus’s digital marketing strategy, including success metric reporting of conversion and lead-to-cash.
  • Development, tracking and reporting of sales program initiatives.
  • Strategic planning and management of Altus’s tradeshow participation.
  • Creation of Altus promotional collateral and digital content.
  • Support of Altus’s pricing strategy and pricing integrity compliance.
  • Performance of virtual products and services demonstrations.
  • Lead annual negotiation and management of the Altus marketing tech stack, including CRM, prospecting, digital channels and the Altus website.
  • Serve as marketing communications lead for both internal and external audiences.
  • Coordination of internal weekly, monthly and quarterly strategy meetings.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business management and or communications, or similar degree plans.

  • 5-10 years’ experience marketing business-to-business products and services in a leadership capacity, for a manufacturing company (preferred), and SaaS experience (a plus).

  • Experience marketing for a health care related, life sciences and/or medical device company (a plus).

  • 3+ years’ project management experience.

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:

  • Excellent verbal, presentation and written communication skills.

  • Budget development with ROI modeling.

  • Strong and demonstratable creative content development capability; web, digital marketing and sales collateral (prepared to present work product examples).

  • Demonstratable campaign development and execution with success factors (prepared to present examples).

  • Demonstratable experience conducting voice-of-customer research for product and services portfolio expansion and improvement.

  • Vendor contract negotiation; RFP process management.

  • Tradeshow and event management at the leadership level, and ability to travel to events.

  • CRM experience and marketing tech stack proficiency.

  • Digital marketing with analytics and reporting.

  • Ability to reprioritize and pivot workflow quickly based on dynamic market, customer and internal needs.

  • A passionate desire to delight customers at all costs.

  • Bias to make quick but informed business decisions, and work at the accelerated speed of a smaller and nimble company.

  • Love of team collaboration.
