Robert Bernard

Robert Bernard is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in sustainability and organizational leadership. Currently serving as Chief Sustainability Officer and SVP Client Sustainability Solutions at CBRE, Robert drives strategies to enhance sustainability services for clients while advancing the company's carbon-reduction goals. As a board member for Altus Power, Inc., Robert supports the acceleration of decarbonization efforts in the energy sector, and as a board member for Ecore™ International, Robert champions circular economic practices through innovative recycling initiatives. Robert founded CommonWealth Equity Partners, LLC, focusing on investments in companies utilizing recycled materials to create profitable products. Previous roles include serving as an advisor at National Geographic, where Robert restructured technology strategy partnerships, and as Chief Environmental Strategist at Microsoft, where Robert launched one of the first carbon-neutral programs globally. Robert holds an MBA in Finance from The Wharton School and a BA in English Language and Literature from Columbia University.
