Simon Barder is a seasoned insurance executive with extensive experience in the reinsurance sector. As the Cofounder and Chairman, as well as the Chief Underwriting Officer at AM Specialty Insurance Group since January 2014, Simon Barder has played a pivotal role in shaping the business. Prior to this, Simon Barder served as Chief Executive Officer of Ironshore Marine Re from December 2008 to January 2013, focusing on marine, inland marine, and offshore energy reinsurance. Simon Barder was also a joint founder and Principal of Marine Re from June 2000 to December 2008, where growth was achieved from startup to $35 million before transitioning the company to Ironshore Insurance. Simon Barder's academic background includes studies in Spanish and Iberian Studies at Madrid University.
