Balsu Thandu is an accomplished technology executive with extensive experience in leading teams and driving innovation across diverse sectors. Currently serving as Director of Conversational Assistant Services in Artificial General Intelligence at Amazon, Balsu focuses on building next-generation conversational assistants. Previous roles at Amazon include General Manager/Director of Software Engineering for Talent Acquisition, overseeing advanced recruiting technologies, and General Manager and Tech Director for Alexa Communications, enhancing customer connectivity through various Alexa services. Before Amazon, Balsu held key positions at AT&T, including Executive Director of New Product Development and Engineering, where significant contributions were made to the development of AT&T APIs and integrations that boosted app revenue. Balsu’s educational background includes an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from the UF Herbert Wertheim College of Engineering, an MBA from Texas McCombs School of Business, and a B.E. in Electronics and Communication Engineering from College of Engineering Guindy, along with additional certification from Columbia University.
