Megan Hallahan is an experienced leader in conflict management and peacebuilding, currently serving as Executive Director at The African Middle Eastern Leadership (AMEL) Project since July 2017. Previously, Megan held the role of Director at YaLa-Young Leaders from April 2012 to June 2017, where leadership of the YaLa Young Leaders Academy involved the co-creation and facilitation of online courses for youth in the Middle East and Africa. Earlier experience includes serving as Secretary General of the Ara Pacis Initiative and Director of the Executive Office at The Glocal Forum from August 2003 to April 2012, where administrative support, human resource management, and partnership relations were pivotal. Megan's earlier role as Assistant to the President involved overseeing health projects in post-conflict environments. Academically, Megan holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and International Relations from UC Santa Barbara and an Advanced Certificate in E-learning Ecologies from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
