Melissa Wood

Melissa Wood is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in leadership and project management within the American Bar Association since 2000. Currently serving as the Director of the Commission on Women in the Profession, Melissa oversees a budget of approximately $1 million and a team of four, focusing on improving the status of women in the legal field through research, programs, and publications. Previous roles include Program and Projects Manager and Committees Manager, where accomplishments include managing educational programming, guiding over 40 committees, and successfully obtaining a $183,000 grant for the Darfur Legal Training Project. Earlier career experience includes account management positions at Bostrom Corporation and The Access Group, where Melissa managed financial activities and coordinated communications for various clients.
