Laura Aguilar

Laura Aguilar, M.D., Ph.D., currently serves as the Consultant Chief Medical Officer at Diakonos Oncology and is a Board Member for the American Brain Tumor Association. With a wealth of experience in clinical research and oncology, Laura serves as President and Chief Medical Officer Consultant at LKA Consulting. Previous roles include Clinical Development Advisor and Interim Chief Medical Officer at Akamis Bio, and Chief Medical Officer at Candel Therapeutics. Additionally, Laura has held positions as Vice President of Clinical Research at Advantagene and attending physician at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Laura contributed to the Harvard Gene Therapy Initiative at Harvard Medical School and completed a fellowship and residency in Pediatric Oncology and Pediatrics, respectively, at Texas Children's Hospital. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Medicine and a Doctor of Philosophy in Immunology from Baylor College of Medicine, along with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from the University of California, Davis.
