Abasi Ene-Obong

Abasi Ene-Obong, PhD, is a prominent leader in the healthcare sector, currently serving as the Founder and CEO of Syndicate Bio since March 2023. Abasi is also a member of the International Outreach and Engagement Committee at the American College of Medical Genetics and Genomics since June 2024, and holds positions on the Board of Trustees for the Society for Family Health Nigeria and the Bloomberg New Economy Forum International Cancer Coalition as of 2022. Prior to these roles, Abasi was the CEO of 54gene from January 2019 to October 2022 and contributed as Lead Consultant for Nigeria’s Strategic Health Development Plan with Pathfinder International in 2017. Abasi's extensive experience includes senior advisory roles at PwC and IMS Health, along with strategic consulting positions at Gilead Sciences and Panasonic. Educational credentials include a PhD in Cancer Biology from the University of London, an MSc in Human Molecular Genetics from Imperial College London, and a Master's in Bioscience Management from Keck Graduate Institute.
