Derec Shuler

Derec Shuler is the CEO and Executive Director of Ascent Classical Academies, a charter management network founded to enhance educational opportunities through American Classical Education. With extensive experience in educational leadership, Derec founded Golden View Classical Academy, a K-12 public charter school in Colorado, and serves as a member of the American Enterprise Institute's Leadership Network. Military experience includes serving as a Major and Special Agent in the United States Army Reserve, specializing in counterintelligence operations. Past roles include Principal of The Shuler Group, Advisory Board Member for Colorado Succeeds, consultant at Northrop Grumman, and System Engineer at SAIC. Education includes a BS in Business from Appalachian State University and various leadership programs.
