Patrick E. McCullar

Patrick E. McCullar currently serves as a Strategic Advisor-Special Projects at American Municipal Power, Inc. since August 2011, providing strategic guidance to the CEO on various initiatives. Previously, McCullar held the positions of Vice President Finance and Treasurer & Director at a major wholesale utility serving ten states. From May 1997 to October 2021, McCullar was the President & CEO of Delaware Municipal Electric Corporation, Inc., managing a joint action agency for wholesale electric supply in Delaware. McCullar also contributed to the American Public Power Association as a member of the Board of Directors from 1998 to 2014 and was involved with the Transmission Access Policy Study Group advocating for a robust transmission grid. Earlier career experience includes serving as Chief Financial Officer for the City of Newark, Delaware, and the City of Saint Charles, Missouri, as well as a position with the Kansas City Chiefs Football Club. McCullar holds a BA/BS in Business and Accounting from the University of Missouri-Kansas City.
