Irvin Scott

Irvin Scott joined the faculty of Harvard Graduate School of Education in 2016 after five years working as the deputy director for K–12 education at the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and 20 years working as a teacher, principal, assistant superintendent, and chief academic officer.

Scott is currently working on an initiative that looks at the intersection of faith and education in schools. One of the goals of the initiative is to enable educators to safely stay in touch with their full identities as they do their work on behalf of schools and communities. Another goal is to build strong partnerships between faith organizations and the schools in their communities.
