Shannon Binger

Shannon Binger, M.S., CEM, has extensive experience in meeting services and event management, currently serving as the Director of Meeting Services at the American Thoracic Society since November 2013, having progressed through various roles including Associate Director and Senior Manager. Responsibilities include managing Non-CME Industry Symposia and overseeing logistics for major presentations. Previous experience includes roles at Travel Planners Inc., where Shannon coordinated exhibitor and group services for nationwide events, and Quikbook.com, focusing on social media marketing and revenue development. Shannon's early career includes positions at Eugenia Kim, Inc., the University of Pittsburgh, and Walt Disney World, contributing skills in marketing, public relations, and event coordination. Shannon holds a Master of Science in Event Management from New York University and dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in Communications and Theater Arts from the University of Pittsburgh.
