Joined the amfAR board in October 2020. Expertise in screenwriting and film production.

Amy Andelson has deep connections to amfAR. The niece of founding board member Sheldon Andelson and daughter of amfAR trustee Arlen Andelson, she has long been an ally in the fight against AIDS and is committed to continuing her family’s mission to find a cure for the disease.

Ms. Andelson grew up in Los Angeles and graduated from the University of Southern California’s School of Cinematic Arts in 2004. For the past 15 years, she has been working as an author and Emmy Award-winning screenwriter and producer.

In addition to amfAR, Ms. Andelson is passionate about bringing the arts to underserved children in her community through her support of The Gabriella Foundation and Hammer K.A.M.P. (Kid’s Art Museum Project).

She resides in Los Angeles with her husband Sean and their two young sons.
