Fergus Rourke

Fergus Rourke is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in management, development, and advisory roles across various sectors. Currently serving as General Manager at AMPYR Energy since November 2023, Fergus focuses on megascale battery and distributed energy projects in Australia, emphasizing project development and M&A commercial strategy. Prior to this, Fergus worked as a Principal Consultant from June to November 2023, offering corporate advisory services in healthcare. At GenesisCare from April 2018 to June 2023, Fergus led a team of 400 healthcare professionals to enhance cancer care delivery and executed key corporate development initiatives. Fergus's prior experience includes roles at Herbert Smith Freehills as a corporate lawyer and an advisory role with the Government of Sierra Leone. Additionally, Fergus co-founded the Genesis startup accelerator at the University of Sydney, which has supported over 900 students in launching their ventures. Fergus holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Sydney, complemented by an exchange program at Sciences Po.
