James H. Dickerson, PhD, is a distinguished science advisor and academic with extensive experience in STEM and public health initiatives. Currently serving as the Science Advisor to the President & CEO at Consumer Reports since January 2017, James advises on scientific and technical matters, focusing on product evaluations and data science initiatives. In addition, James holds a Strategic Advisor role at AMTIL Inc., enhancing aviation maintenance training through innovative technologies. Previous roles include Assistant Director at Brookhaven National Laboratory, where partnerships in renewable energy and nanotechnology were fostered, and faculty positions at esteemed institutions such as Brown University and Vanderbilt University, where James made significant contributions to research in nanoscience and was awarded multiple patents. Education includes a BA in Physics from Amherst College and a PhD in Physics from Stony Brook University.
