Anthony Coscia

Chairman at Amtrak

Nominated by President Barack Obama as a Director of the Amtrak Board in November 2009 and confirmed by the U.S. Senate in June 2010, Mr. Coscia was elected Chairman of the Board in 2013. He has served as Chairman of the Audit and Finance Committee since July 2011. Mr. Coscia was Chairman of the Board of Commissioners of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey from 2003 through June 2011. As Chairman, he had broad oversight responsibility in connection with the agency's varied transportation businesses and $6.7 billion annual budget. From February 1992 to March 2003, Mr. Coscia served as Chairman of the New Jersey Economic Development Authority. He is also a partner at Windels Marx Lane & Mittendorf, LLP. He has specific experience in the area of redevelopment finance and has worked extensively on corporate governance issues. He is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Georgetown University School of Foreign Service and received his Bachelor of Science degree in 1981 and in 1984 received his J.D. degree from Rutgers University School of Law.
