Luís Gaspar

Luís Gaspar is currently serving as the Director General for Regulation at ANACOM - Autoridade Nacional de Comunicações since September 2020. Prior to this role, Luís worked as a Competition Expert at Autoridade da Concorrência (AdC) from May 2018 to September 2020, where involvement included analyzing anticompetitive practices and advising the Portuguese Government on competition policy. Luís also held positions at Ofcom as a Principal Economist and Senior Economist, and at ICP-ANACOM as an Economist, focusing on market regulation and compliance monitoring. Earlier experience includes consulting for exporters at aicep Portugal Global, coordinating online user products at Google, and interning at Portugal's Ministry of Finance. Luís holds an MSc in Development Economics from SOAS University of London and a Licenciatura in Economics from Universidade Nova de Lisboa.
