Barbara Nelsen

Barbara Nelsen, Ph.D., M.B.A., is the Founder and CEO of Nelsen Biomedical, a consulting firm established in 2010 that specializes in technology commercialization and business growth strategies for the life sciences industry. In addition, Barbara serves as a Board Member for Anatomi Corp and Regenerative Medicine Minnesota, and holds the position of Chair of the Board of Directors at University Enterprise Laboratories, which supports early-stage life science ventures. As a Co-Founder of Emerge Bioscience, Barbara focuses on career development for professionals in non-academic organizations. Furthermore, Barbara has been a member of the Board of Advisors for Discovery Capital since 2014, aiding in the transfer of university technology to market. Prior experience includes serving as Associate Director for the Office for Technology Commercialization at the University of Minnesota, where Barbara led a major restructuring initiative.
