Billy Gorter

With a background in conservation, education, equality and human rights, Billy Gorter brings more than 20 years of international development experience to AHC.

Billy is the founder of This Life Cambodia (TLC), a NGO delivering high-impact programmes covering children and families, education, domestic violence, and community research. Since the NGO’s founding in 2007, the organisation has supported thousands of individuals and families in Cambodia.

As executive director of TLC, Billy sets the strategic direction for the NGO, and over the past decade, has cultivated productive, ongoing relationships with Cambodian government ministries. Before founding TLC, Billy had a dynamic career in the fields of development and conservation, designing and delivering powerful social justice initiatives. He is a sought after mentor for other NGOs, an international awards judge, and in-demand international speaker.
