Richard Wade

Richard Wade is a seasoned communications professional with extensive experience in the healthcare sector. Currently serving as a Senior Counselor at APCO Worldwide since January 2010, Richard provides consultancy to the Hospital Practice Group and is a member of the APCO International Health Advisory Board. In addition, Richard operates a solo communications practice through Rugby Hall Communications LLC, specializing in crisis management and strategic communication for health care organizations and advocacy groups. Previously, Richard held the position of Senior Vice President for Strategic Communications at the American Hospital Association from October 1991 to October 2009, where responsibilities included serving as a principal spokesman and communications strategist. Richard also served as Vice President for Communications at the Maryland Hospital Association from February 1979 to October 1991, acting as the principal spokesman to media at various levels.
