Bastien Soete

Bastien Soete is a seasoned professional in the metallurgy and steelmaking industry, currently managing production teams at Aperam since April 2014. In the role of Head of Steel Plant Process, Bastien oversees the steelmaking process and product quality while leading new product development and continuous improvement initiatives. Previous experience includes projects at InsPyro as a Project Engineer focused on high-temperature processes and roles at PM Group as a Process Engineer responsible for key technical documentation. Bastien's foundational education includes a Master’s degree in Material Science Engineering from Université catholique de Louvain and an exchange program at Université de Sherbrooke. Additionally, a year as a Rotary Exchange Student in Durban, South Africa, provided valuable cultural and social engagement experiences.
