Jill Sheldekar facilitates Aperian Global intercultural programs, enabling individuals to develop the competencies and skills necessary to work effectively across cultures. She has worked with clients based in various countries in North America, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. Her experience includes designing, developing, and delivering training programs for multinational companies from a range of industries, including technology, manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, and oil and gas.
Ms. Sheldekar has more than ten years of experience working in corporations in the U.S., Australia, and India. Her own training began in the form of leadership and social activism. She traveled across the globe as a youth mentor and facilitated programs on leadership and volunteerism in India and Kenya. Ms. Sheldekar also spent two years as a language instructor in Pune, India. As head of the English department at Inlingua International School of Languages, she delivered programs to certify internal trainers for the delivery of language and soft-skills programs.
Originally from Phoenix, Arizona, Ms. Sheldekar currently resides in Pune, where she enjoys all of the diverse experiences that come with being an expatriate.
Ms. Sheldekar earned an interdisciplinary BA in education and religious studies from Arizona State University. Her experiences studying abroad in Australia and India added meaningful nuance to her degree. Ms. Sheldekar is on the board of directors of SIETAR (Society for Intercultural Education, Training and Research) India, and is responsible for organizing SIETAR learning events and conferences.
