Maria Albani

Maria Albani is a distinguished academic with extensive experience in physiology and muscle regeneration research. As a Professor and Director of the Laboratory of Physiology at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki since September 1980, Maria has significantly contributed to the field. Previous roles include Research Assistant positions at University College London, focusing on muscle regeneration for a doctorate under Professor Gerta Vrbova, and at Universität Konstanz, where research centered on motor unit enzyme activity. Additionally, Maria served as a Teaching Assistant at The University of Texas at Austin in 1978. Maria holds a Doctorate in Medicine from the School of Medicine at AUTh (1980-1990) and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the School of Biology at AUTh (1973-1977).
