Nikos Konofaos is a Professor at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, where responsibilities include research, teaching, and administration focused on Microelectronic and Nanoelectronic Devices and Circuits since January 2012. Previously, Nikos served as a Fulbright Research Fellow at the University of Maryland from November 2013 to April 2014, conducting research on new microelectronic devices. Prior academic roles include Assistant Professor at the University of the Aegean, Adjunct Faculty at the University of Patras, part-time faculty at the University of Ioannina, and Teaching Assistant at TEI of Epirus. Nikos also held the position of Director of the Liaison Office at the University of Ioannina from 1996 to 1998, facilitating connections between the university and local industry. Nikos served as a Signal Corps reserved Lieutenant in the Hellenic Army from 1993 to 1995. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Electrical & Electronic Engineering from the University of Bradford (1989-1993) and a BSc in Physics from the University of Ioannina (1983-1987).
