Iain McAllister

Iain McAllister has an extensive background in camera hardware engineering and optics, currently serving as the Camera HW Optics Manager and Camera Module Lead for iPhone at Apple since July 2011. Prior to this role, Iain worked at STMicroelectronics from April 2004 to July 2011, where responsibilities included Optical Packaging Group Manager and Camera Module Architecture Manager. Earlier professional experience includes roles as a Research Scientist at BAE Systems, an Optical Systems Designer at Nortel Networks, and an intern at EA Technology. Iain holds a Master of Science in Optics & Photonics from Imperial College London and a Bachelor of Science in Physics from The University of Edinburgh.
