Mingjie Lai

Mingjie Lai is an experienced software engineer currently serving as an Infrastructure Software Engineer at Apple since October 2024. Prior to this role, Mingjie worked at Kyte as a Staff Software Engineer from October 2021 to September 2024 and held a similar position at Apple from July 2020 to October 2021, focusing on the data infrastructure team for AI/ML. Mingjie also contributed to Uber's Advanced Technologies Group as a Staff Software Engineer and Team Lead Manager from November 2014 to July 2020. Additional experience includes roles as a System Engineer at Uber, a Hadoop Engineer at Apple from 2012 to October 2014, a Senior Software Developer at Trend Micro from January 2007 to May 2012, and a Software Engineer at Fortinet from 2005 to 2007. Mingjie holds a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from UC Irvine and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications.
