Bala Haran

Bala Haran is an experienced professional in the semiconductor industry, currently serving as Vice President of Integrated Materials Solutions at Applied Materials since April 2021. Previously, Bala held the position of Director for Process Technology and Fab Operations at IBM from February 2019 to April 2021. With a strong background in process research and device integration, Bala worked at IBM Research from May 2003 to February 2019, progressing from Senior Manager to Senior Engineer and Advisory Engineer, focusing on CMOS device development and semiconductor process development. Earlier in the career, Bala served as an Assistant Research Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering at the University of South Carolina from November 1998 to April 2003. Bala holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of South Carolina and a B. Tech in Chemical Engineering from the Central Electrochemical Research Institute.
