Hasmot Ali Hasu

Hasmot Ali Hasu is a seasoned Machine Learning Engineer currently employed at Apurba Technologies Ltd since February 2022, where expertise includes training and developing innovative Bangla Optical Character Recognition and Handwriting Recognition models as part of the EBLICT project. Prior experience includes serving as a Research Assistant at Apurba DIU Research & Development Lab, leading a team of 90 Data Processing Engineers in creating annotated Bangla OCR data, and conducting research that resulted in publications in various international conferences and journals. Additionally, Hasmot contributed as a Senior Researcher at DIU NLP and Machine Learning Research Lab, supervising over 50 student research projects and serving as an instructor for Machine Learning bootcamps. Educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Engineering from Daffodil International University, obtained between 2017 and 2021.
