Gerard de Nazelle

Gerard de Nazelle is an experienced leader in the petrochemical and refining industries, currently serving as Director at Aramco since November 2023. Previously, Gerard held the position of Director R&DC at Saudi Aramco from October 2019 to November 2023 and was the Head of Technology at Reliance from September 2014 to October 2019, overseeing the technology center of excellence. Earlier roles include Chief Engineer at Bechtel Oil, Gas, & Chemicals and CEO of both perPETual Global and Polygenta Technologies, where innovative technologies for recycling PET were developed. Gerard has also served as Director at the European Institute of Innovation and Technology and Global Manager of Innovation and Research at Shell Global Solutions, where significant R&D initiatives were led. With a PhD in physics from Delft University of Technology, Gerard brings extensive expertise in technology management and development across various organizations.
