Mahdi Utaibi

Mahdi Utaibi has over two decades of experience in the power systems sector, currently serving as the Renewables Department Director at Aramco since February 2009, where responsibilities include oversight of the Power System Planning Department. Utaibi previously held roles as a General Supervisor and Manager in the same department and managed operations as a Power Operations Superintendent. Earlier positions include Smart Grid Supervisor and Lead Project Engineer at Saudi Aramco, where Utaibi focused on implementing smart grid solutions and served as a Senior Field Engineer and Power System Protection Engineer from January 2003 to December 2006. Utaibi holds a Master of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from New Mexico State University and a Bachelor of Science in the same field from King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals.
