Derrick Westlund

Derrick Westlund is an experienced Drilling Superintendent with a strong background in the oil and gas industry. Currently employed at ARC Resources Ltd. since April 2021, Derrick previously held similar roles at Seven Generations Energy Ltd. and Shell, where responsibilities included the start-up of the Carmon Creek Asset and the management of complex drilling operations in northeastern British Columbia. Derrick's career began as a Floorhand and Motorhand at Nabors Drilling Limited and progressed through various technical roles, culminating in expertise as a Wells Specialist at Benchmark Engineering Inc. Derrick holds a degree in Petroleum Engineering Technology from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology and has foundational education from Mount Royal University and Frank Maddock High School.
