Brian Young

Brian Young is an accomplished compensation professional with extensive experience in total rewards and human resources management. Currently serving as Managing Director and Global Head of Total Rewards at Ares Management Corporation since September 2014, Brian has held several prominent positions in the organization, including Global Head of Compensation, Benefits, and HR Information Systems. Prior experience includes serving as Director and Head of Investment Banking & Securities Compensation at Credit Suisse and Director of Global Wealth and Investment Management Compensation at Bank of America Merrill Lynch. Brian's career also includes a significant role at Merrill Lynch, where expertise was focused on Compensation for Investment Banking, Fixed Income, Equities, and Private Equity divisions. Earlier career experience as a Business Analyst at American Management Systems involved working with the City of New York on financial management system improvements. Brian holds a Master of Science degree in Management Information Systems from Clarkson University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Management from SUNY Geneseo.
