Dionysios Antonopoulos

Dionysios Antonopoulos is an accomplished research scientist with extensive experience in microbial systems biology. Currently serving as the Director of the Biosciences Division at Argonne National Laboratory since June 2008, Dionysios has also held the roles of Interim Director and Microbial Systems Biologist within the same institution. Concurrently, since July 2008, Dionysios has been a Senior Scientist at the Consortium for Advanced Science and Engineering at the University of Chicago and an Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine. Dionysios' earlier experience includes a Research Fellowship at the University of Michigan and a Postdoctoral Fellowship at Michigan State University. Academic credentials include a PhD and MS in Animal Sciences (Microbiology) and a BS in General Biology, all obtained from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
