Miguel Perez

Associate Director, Engagement Programs at Art Institute of Chicago

Miguel Perez is an experienced professional in public programming and engagement within the museum sector, currently serving as Associate Director of Engagement Programs at the Art Institute of Chicago since January 2022. In this role, Miguel directs the development of a diverse annual program calendar that emphasizes equity in representation and collaborates closely with various departments to build strong relationships with internal and external partners. Previously, Miguel held the position of Head of Public Programming at The Phillips Collection, managing adult public programs and fostering community partnerships. Miguel's earlier roles include Market Coordinator at EDENS, Resident Manager at Crestview Condominiums, and various guest service positions at esteemed institutions such as George Washington's Mount Vernon Estate and the Chicago Children's Museum. Miguel holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography from the Corcoran School of the Arts and Design and an Associate of Applied Arts in Photography from Northern Virginia Community College.
