Ashwani Kumar

Ashwani Kumar served the Indian Army for 39 1⁄2 years with distinction, breaking the ‘glass ceiling’ in more ways than one, Lt Gen Ashwani Kumar, PVSM, AVSM, VSM, retired from service on 31 Oct 2019. While in service, he tenanted numerous, important staff, regimental and instructional appointments, both in India and abroad, in different ranks. His last assignment was as a Principal Staff Officer at Service Headquarters, handling a multitude of important activities. He is a motivational speaker with expertise on ‘Value System’. Post-retirement, he is pursuing his passion for competitive badminton. He has been awarded a Doctorate in “Spirituality Management in Armed Forces” in Jun 2020.
