Hamish Banks

Hamish Banks is an experienced structural engineer currently serving as an Associate and Structural Team Lead at Arup since January 2008, focusing on the design of buildings and infrastructure in Adelaide. With a strong background in structural engineering, Hamish has been involved in the Arup International Development initiative, concentrating on safer school infrastructure projects in the Pacific for the World Bank. Previous roles include Senior Structural Engineer, where expertise in the design of reinforced concrete, steel, and timber structures was demonstrated, and involvement with Engineers Without Borders Australia and Community Housing Limited in Timor-Leste, where innovative building materials for low-cost housing were developed. Hamish holds a Bachelor's Degree in Civil and Structural Engineering from the University of Adelaide.
