Tom Butterworth

Tom Butterworth is an experienced leader in biodiversity and ecology, currently serving as the Director and UKIMEA Nature Lead at Arup. Previously, Tom held multiple senior roles at WSP in the UK, including Head of Ecology and Deputy Head of Ecology, focusing on natural capital and biodiversity. Additional experience includes serving as Principal Advisor for Biodiversity at Natural England and as a Senior Policy Advisor for local nature partnerships at Defra. Tom also contributes as a Director for the UK Business & Biodiversity Forum, demonstrating a strong commitment to advancing biodiversity initiatives and policies.
