Amber Smith

Amber Smith currently serves as the Director of Case Management Utilization Management at Ascension since December 2021 and has been the Manager of Care Management at ThedaCare since April 2019. Previously, Amber was the Utilization Review Manager at Mercy Health, St. Rita's Medical Center from October 2010 to February 2019, where responsibilities included ensuring proper utilization of resources and maintaining collaborative relationships for optimal patient outcomes. Earlier roles included Clinical Manager in Medical Oncology and Emergency Department Case Manager at St. Rita's Medical Center, along with experience as a Registered Nurse in ICU Step-down. Amber holds a Master of Science in Nursing from St. Joseph's College of Maine, a Bachelor's degree in Nursing Science from Ohio Northern University, and an Associate's degree in Registered Nursing from Rhodes State College.
